Taking a clue from the success of the free downloadable game America's Army (which the U.S. craftily uses to aid recruitment) the U.N. has created its own free dowloadable game. Food Force is an edutainment title whose mission is to spread information on the difficulties of dropping food in various hostile conditions throughout the world. Their website and the game itself offer a stimulating course on how and why the U.N. spreads food to many of the world's most poverty stricken regions. So while the U.S. is using games to recruit for the War on Terror (god I hate that name) the U.N. is using games to fight the War on Hunger.
